Alder
Red Alder (Alnus rubra) is a relatively soft wood that grows predominantly along the Pacific coast between Alaska and California.
The wood color varies from a near white to a pale pinkish brown and there is little to no clear distinction between the heartwood and the sapwood.
Alder Lumber is generally used in furniture-making as well as in the manufacture of sash, door panels, and other millwork.
