Ebony, Gabon (Black)
Gabon Ebony or Black Ebony (Diospyros Crassiflora) is a prized wood the world over, with many using it for making musical instruments. The trees are quite small and only a portion of each tree is all black. Because of its naturally limited quantities, it is one of the highest priced, commercially available woods, and the price keeps creeping up.
