Ebony, Indian
Indian Ebony (Diospyros ebenum), or Ceylon Ebony, comes from Southeast Asia. It is a comparable, less costly option to Gabon Ebony, though it tends to have lighter streaks.
Indian Ebony is a popular turning wood, but tends to dull tools due to it’s density. We also usually carry a limited supply of Indian Ebony lumber for larger projects.
