Granadillo is a general name used for the quality hardwood that comes from several species within the Platymiscium genus. Within this genus, other common woods are Macacauba, Macawood, Hormigo, and Orange Agate. These woods come from Central and South America.
Granadillo is rot resistant and very workable. Goosebay also carries it in turning stock.
