Padauk Turning Blanks

Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii) grows in Central and tropical west Africa. Most Padauk pieces, when first cut, are a vibrant reddish orange. However, over time, the color will darken to a more red-brown. Finishes that contain UV-inhibiting agents may help to slow some of the color fade from aging.

Padauk is a durable, decay/insect resistant wood that turns and glues well.
