Spanish Cedar

Spanish Cedar (Cedrela odorata) is native to Central and South America and the Caribbean. Its coloring is usually a uniform light pinkish-yellow to a medium reddish-brown.

It is a low-density, moderately durable wood that is resistant to rot and insects. Lumber from older growth trees is considered more durable than wood from the younger, plantation-grown trees. Spanish Cedar is a softer wood that can have pockets of sap that can make working with and finishing it difficult.,
