Maple Plywood
This is maple -veneered plywood. It is suitable for interior cabinetry applications. Sheet size is 4 feet by 8 feet. The appearance is rotary-cut (the veneers are cut from the log in a spiral). The core is veneer, which is structurally stronger than a MDF, or particle board, core.
We stock prefinished (2 sided) in the half and three quarter inch thicknesses and prefinished (1 side) in the one quarter inch thickness. Many people like to use prefinished maple plywood when building cabinet bases and drawers. The finish is uniform and saves time in the construction process.
Special Orders
We are able to order maple plywood with an MDF core. Although it has less structural strength than a veneer core, it is deemed by some to lie flatter.
Single side pre-finishing, 3/8 inch thickness, and an A1 grade for the 1/4 inch thickness are available.
Bird’s eye and curly maple veneered sheets can be ordered.
